This was a fun piece to create, from concept through to completion. Starting with a sketch from imagination, I then held a photo shoot using a friend as the model, to get the reference shots required for this unique pose. With some strong directional lighting and a martial arts belt as a prop we got the tension of the teeth biting and the neck muscles counter-balancing the pulling force.
